Flux band brackets are traditionally made from rubber which while having the of being flexible, also has several negatives including not being UV stable (fading in the sun), soaking up water and often looking rough and unfinished. DTMProps decided to tackle the redesign of these brackets using an ultra-strong and UV stable plastic called Delrin. Delrin will not crack, fade, absorb water or degrade over time, making it the perfect material for constant outdoor use on a Time Machine.
While not flexible like rubber, our Flux Band Brackets have been designed in such a way that the correctly sized 3/4″ (19.05mm) aluminium tubes will snap into place and hold your flux bands with ease. You can also use 20mm diameter Pex-Al-Pex by feeding it directly through the bracket holes.
Furthermore, our flux band brackets also provide a total of 3x circular channels (13mm diameter) for installing LED lighting. If you haven’t already purchased your lighting, we have a great recommendation for cost effective “Ice Blue” 360 degree 12v light strips that can be purchased from AliExpress. These are also designed to snap straight into place.
Finally the DTM Flux Band Brackets also have two sets of 3 holes. These can be used for mounting the brackets to the car (using M3 screws), and also for riveting or screwing the flux band mesh material directly to the brackets.
